Organisation of the competition
The competition is arranged by Elielinaukion kehitys Ltd and the City of Helsinki. The panel of judges will be responsible for evaluating the proposed designs. The panel of judges has eleven members, four of whom are nominated by the organiser, four by the City of Helsinki, one by the Finnish Association of Landscape Architects (MARK), and one international expert member. Contestants has chosen the architectural expert on the panel. The panel of judges will be assisted in their evaluation by the competition secretariat and designated experts.
The competition secretariat is responsible for the preparation and conduct of the competition and for any necessary contractual negotiations. The competition secretariat acts as a point of contact for the competitors and assists the panel of judges during the competition.
Decisions on the competition will be made by Elielinaukion kehitys Ltd and the Urban Environment committee upon the judges’ proposal.
